Can someone explain how banes work? Being 10 hours away by car and all, I have missed some information here and there.

They are from the new Danse Macabre book. They work just as derangements from Humanity loss except:

• Although you suffer no mechanical effect if you raise Humanity, they still affect you to some degree
• You can have more than one per level of Humanity.
• They give you supernatural things: Rain doesn't touch you, you can't breathe, lose all powers on holy ground, etc.

I just read that section of the book. They're pretty cool.
