Character Creation Rules
No abilities may start above 3. Any merits or backgrounds over 3 points will require special permission. Any level of lore requires special permission. Special permission usually means no unless you take backgrounds or flaws to justify them (this will often include one chosen by the story teller) and even then it may still be no for some backgrounds.
Backgrounds may be dropped for freebie points. These count as negative traits towards your limit of 5.
You may take Spirit Notoriety as a neg
Current starting bonus xp is 11.

Choose 3 basic Gifts (1 Breed, 1 Tribe, 1 Auspice)
Choose 5 Backgrounds
Record Rage, Willpower, and Gnosis
If before spending any freebie points your Rage plus Willpower plus
Gnosis equals less than 6 you may add an additional Rage, Willpower, or
Gnosis until they do. None of them may end up above 3 because of this.

Merits may be taken out of the hunter books. The rules may be changed as needed as the rules from other books have not been balanced. The following merits are changed.
Kinfolk is free but you start at one lower willpower
Ghoul may be taken but you start at one lower willpower and accepted ghoul is a 4 point merit.
Kinain may be taken but taken but you are at one lower starting willpower. (Kinain have been changed)
Fae Blood may be taken its a 1-5 point merit if you have Kinain. As per the book though kinain arts are different.
Psychic 7 point merit. Grants one psychic path chosen by the storyteller.

Decide if you left a tribe or never joined one.
If you left a tribe take their advantage and flaw, one starting tribal gift, willpower starts as per tribe, and you are a rank 0 Ronan.
If you never had a tribe your starting willpower is 2 and you are a rank 1 Ronan.

Record Rage (Auspice), Willpower (2 or tribe), and Gnosis (breed)

Ronan don’t have renown and their rank is not recognized by garou or spirits. Rank for Ronan is just their spiritual strength. Rank costs 4xp times the rank desired.

Ronan have no in tribe gifts and most spirits will not want to teach them even their own breed and auspice gifts.
If a Ronan later joins a tribe they are dropped to rank 0 with no xp refunded.

So you want to play a vampire, mummy, Gurahl, mage, etc. The game must have at least 7 players. The Storyteller must approve the character of course. Then the character sheet and history will be posted on the game boards and if at least 2/3 the game e-mail the storyteller saying they want it approved it will be approved. The rules used for any other race may change at the drop of a hat and I will only approve things out of books I own.
