Silver Insanity

"Winterwyld eh? All I can recall offhand is that they're not the sort of fey to just let those who get on their bad side off with a few "merely" obnoxious pranks." Aurora cuts off a small chunk of meat as well, cooking it by dint of wreathing her hand in crackling fire as she scans the surrounding terrain.

"I'm not too worried about that. I've dealt with many fey for good or ill before, including powerful fey such as they are. We have an idea where to begin looking, and they knew my parents, and surely know me. If I get close, they should find me."

There is a momentary distraction: Stewarts' construct dissolves, and the hyenadon it was holding bolts for the edge of the clearing.

The three winter wolves move to cut off its escape - but before any of them have gone more than a few feet, Luma flickers into existence next to the giant hyena and neatly decapitates it with a single strike.

Stewart turns to look at Luma and blinks. "Oh, yes, that. Thank you."

Turning back to Maya, he continues "Well, it seems that you know more about it than I. Is there anything else I could help you with before we continue on to find our... friend?"

Maya: "Not that I can think of."

"Then we should probably be on our way," comments Luma.

Maya howls, and her and her pack disappear like ghosts into the wilderness.

Everyone Else:
The day continues to be cold and wet as you make your way towards Greenspring. On the plus side, the weather means that the people you meet on the roads mostly ignore you; they're too busy looking at the ground to keep the rain out of their faces to notice just how odd a party you represent.

When you finally get in sight of the city you find that, despite the weather, there's still a fairly solid line of people waiting to get in; mostly farmers and merchants with carts of goods.

Stewart's ear flicks in irritation. "First rain, now lines. They charge a fee for permits to stay in the city, and will likely charge us extra because we're not 'normal'." His tone conveys his derision of the idea. "All this so we can slog around a wet city to find someone."

"And what, pray tell, would qualify as 'normal' to this particular enclave?" Aurora's tone is sardonic as she deliberately glances around the small group.
