Thirwin, Seeker of Light and Darkness, The Shadow Priest, sometimes called The Seeker, and other times, but never to his face, referred to as the Madness of Wyrr or the Madness of Ikaria. Thirwin rarely appears as he is. Like most followers of Wyrr, he regularly alters his appearance and clothing. Normally, he appears to be dressed in simple dark cloak and black clothing. When forgoing illusion, Thirwin is about six feet tall, and perhaps 160 pounds. He has dark brown hair cut short and clean shaven. Most noticeable of his facial features are his piercing black eyes, the kind that have the clarity of insanity behind them, although something in his gaze insists that he is chillingly sane. Thirwin wears a lightweight chain shirt, darkened and hid under a lightweight black shirt as a thief might. He is normally seen with a black cloak and a small backpack. Peaking out from under the ends of his sleeves are a pair of bracers made from white dragonhide, the scales seeming to continue on his flesh where the bracers end. Like some followers of Wyrr, he does not openly display his holy symbol. Thirwin is a man of two faces, prompting rumors that there is more then one of him or that he is insane. He is always curt and slightly gruff as one might expect, but sometimes he’d be willing to stop to talk to a child, or retrieve a stranded cat from a tree or sewer. Other times, he seems sadistic, taking glee in inflicting pain and terror in those around him. His title: The Seeker of Light and Darkness comes from his obsession with finding out about the titans and the creation of the gods. While he does not openly discuss his search with anyone, he’s been looking for so long that people have learned. In combat, Thirwin is often accompanied by a floating shield, and his weapon of choice is Summoning, often calling upon elementals or other monsters. Rumors abound that he’s been able to summon undead to do his bidding. Few dare incurring his wrath or the wrath of the followers of Wyrr by asking for confirmation. |
