Right looks at it, and says, "Hm..." Then it hands the gem to Left. Left takes one glance at it before returning to scanning the surroundings. "Yes, it is," Left says, and hands the gem back to Right. "I thought so," says Right. "It's a fake. Or at least the message is; just an illusion. Made by the thing that's trapped in here. But here's the bad news, kid: it shouldn't be able to manifest even that much power outside the bounds." Right glances at Left, "We'll have to inform the master." "Yes." "But we can't leave our posts, either... Could you carry a message for us?" |

"In the meantime, we'll have to start preparing to deal with," it grimaces, "adventurers. They never seem to consider that perhaps something might have been sealed away for a reason." |
