You find the dragon covered in rocks and broken limbs from rock-slides from the mountain and branches/trees broken by the fall. Bits of the dragon sticks out in various locations. Sadie, however, is no where in visible sight.

Oberon is slowly climbing down, he is free-climbing, so is a bit slower. You have a few minutes before he gets down there.

Solten skids down the remaining rock fall. Upon seeing the crumpled dragon, he groans. Running to the corpse he searches around it, calling out to Sadie frequently but not desperately often. He looks for a way to roll over the mangled corpse to see if she'd been crushed underneath dreading the results. If manual force fails, he'll find a log to use as a lever.

Assuming he finds nothing under the dragon or tracks nearby, something will finally click in his head, putting together Sadie's past and Oberon's comment. When Oberon reaches the bottom of the mountain, Solten will grab him by the front of the shirt (not in a threatening manner, but that slightly desperate demanding of attention) and demand "That comment on top of the mountain, what did you mean? Where is she? Tell me!" He looks slightly wild at this point, which is completely uncharacteristic for him.

Rolling the dragon over doesn't reveal her presence and there are no tracks. Still it was a rather large rock slide, it is still very possible she might still be buried under there somewhere.

Oberon shakes his head. "Murphy said she was in the morgue. Killed publicly. So, if she's buried, we better dig her out." He looks around at the rather impressive amount of rubble. "You wouldn't have a better idea then digging it all up do you? Maybe grab some orcs or something for the heavy lifting? It'll take weeks to move everything."

Solten seems frustrated as much with Oberon's calm as the situation. He glares at Oberon for being completely unhelpful, then releases him and stalks off toward a portion of the rock fall.

Trying to force himself to calm down and think, something tickles his nose, something familiar. An long unused instinct drives him to drop onto all fours and sniff the ground. Something's there, tauntingly familiar. Solten concentrates on that smell, trying to block everything else out. Slowly it gets stronger and the recognition hits. It's her! He howls, not particularly realizing or caring that he's shifted to full wolf in the process, and bounds after the scent.

Oberon nods, "See... I can't do that..." He follows the wolf.

You don't need to go far. It's only been a little while. But now you know exactly where she's been buried by rubble. With your amber strength, ect digging her up isn't too difficult. Besides you're obviously determined. What you find, however, is straight out of a horror movie. It is a body mangled and severely burned beyond recognition, there is blood spilled everywhere. Once exposed to air, she coughs up a bit of blood as she takes in air and passes out again. Apparently she yet hangs onto life...

Oberon does twitch. "Look after her. She's going to need food and lots of it. I can make it to the top of the mountain faster than you can..." He pauses, "Do you know anything about medicine? She's going to be healing rapidly... just make sure stuff is bent the right way and it'll mend."

Assuming you at least nod, he'll run back to the mountain to get food. (Probably from the dragon's stash.)

Once locating the source of the scent and digging out the worst of the rubble, Solten shifts back to human form for the more delicate excavation.

Stepping back after uncovering the crumpled form, he stares stunned, wondering how someone in that condition could possibly be alive. Barely following what Oberon said, he responds with a distracted "Wha-what? Food? Sure, go, you know best." Visibly trying to pull himself together, he retrieves his cloths from where they feel upon shifting. Returning he kneels down beside Sadie and does his best to clean and straighten what he can with his shirt and what little water he has on hand. All the while talking to her softly:

"Crazy fool... You certainly made it a grand adventure. Stay with me. I don't know how you're still alive, but don't give up now. I know we just met, but we have a special connection already." Unsure just how much effort telepathy is for her and when injured, he tries to gently open a link and says through it simply: "You hear me? I don't want to lose you so soon. Keep fighting."
