Assuming you mingle afterwards, you'll note that some of the orcs there took the "talk to a squid" both as an order and literally. Alys nips that in the bud quickly. It's up to the participants if you want to stay up all night. If you have Amber endurance, you can go a few days without rest without much issue. (Heck, you can fight a battle for a day straight, and this isn't nearly as tough.) Most people here end up at the winter festival.

(Addendum from chat with the GM: Some of the orcs took "talk to a squid" as "find a piece of calamari and try to talk to it". Which is... rather less useful than Alys' original intent.)
