As stated, Harrune somewhat unnecessarily push Osmund out of the path of the dart. In the same motion he grabs a wrench off of the workbench which he uses to deflect the second dart. This is immediately followed by the sound of the would be assassin scrambling away.

Harrune will give a quick look to verify that Osmund is alright. Then he will start moving his hands in obviously arcane gestures and will speak aloud "Ruloc Mutoc Locador.". He will then casually walk over and open the secret panel all of the way. He will then draw his sword. "You might want to make yourself ready. Our visitor will return shortly. Oh, and we will want him alive for questioning. I would like to know who is trying to kill us."

Osmund will nod... and settle on the bed. In a few minutes, a fractured version of a silver-colored pattern appears in the air in front of him. The fractures run deep, going from the outside to the core in strange jagged lines. Wisps of yellow-ish smoke reach out in several tendrils as Osmund mumbles and fidgets with a ring on his finger.

They coil slightly, then shoot forward and down the secret panel. They go about 10* or so feet before they seem to be making contact. Osmund will invoke "Spring**", creating a kinetic fore that throws a surprised dwarf in dark tight-fitting cloth armor into the room and fairly hard against the inside of the door. Needless to say, the dwarf is stunned for at least a moment.

Harrune will watch Osmund's actions with interest...until the dwarf enters the room. Then his focus completely shifts. While the dwarf is stunned, Harrune will quickly divest him of his obvious weapons and a number of not so obvious ones as well, if there is time. (Warfare and Good Stuff should make this relatively easy). Either way, the dwarf will come back to his senses with the point of Harrune's sword at his throat.

"Alright, now we can have a little talk. I am Harrune Tharassa Tyrnath Reran. Who would you be and what is the meaning of this?"

"I have nothing to say to any invader of Ht'Gon*." The dwarf will reply, holding his neck out with pride. "Know that my clan will avenge me as will many of my enemies."

Harrune cocks his head in momentary confusion. "Invader of Ht'Gon? Oh! This is about my plan to walk the Pattern. This is the most absurd thing I've ever heard."

"Alright friend, let me explain a few things. You're concerned of what happens after I walk the Pattern? I will be able to issues decrees in Ht'Gon that have the power of law unless opposed by another member of the Court, correct? I already have that power. Every Amberite does. Walking the Ht'Gon Pattern doesn't change that. As for influence in the Court, I'm already good friends with Morgana. That can be a formidable amount of influence if we both wish it to be. Again, walking the Pattern doesn't change that. At best walk gives a bit more formality to all of that, but in reality is changes nothing."

"Also consider this: I was one of the earliest arrivals here and one of the first to walk a Pattern. I have spent a great deal of my time walking the Shadows to help build up all of Amber, including Ht'Gon. I have done more for this Court than you and your clan have...or are likely to in their lifespans. How can I invade something that I helped build?"

Harrune sighs deeply. "Things are too fractured here. Morgana is trying to bring the different factions of Ht'Gon together or at least stop the hostilities between them. I'm trying to do the same for the four Courts. If you really want to do something to help Ht'Gon then talk to Morgana and offer to help her. That will do much more good than risking a war between the Courts."

"Either way, I think we should both go and talk to Morgana. You will face her justice and that will satisfy mine as well. The walk there will give you time to think about what I have said and what you wish to do."

Harrune steps back and gestures with his sword for the dwarf to stand. He's ready for whatever action the dwarf chooses.

The dwarf will reach for something, then realize between Osmund and Harrune that he's been completely disarmed.

He will slowly get to his feet, silently defiant.

Osmund will let the wisp tendrils coil for a moment. "I could interrogate him here. Morgana is unlikely to let us."

"The offer is appreciated, but I think unnecessary. The only thing I need to know right now is his name and the identity of his clan. We can find that out in other ways. Even if he was foolish enough to try to force us to kill him, we could still find someone to identify the remains. Hopefully he is wise enough to understand that such a gesture would be ultimately meaningless."

"On the other hand, he was foolish enough to make a statement in front of a witness that is tantamount to a declaration of war by his entire clan on me personally. As an Amberite I have the power under the law to order his entire clan executed. I'm not sure that even Morgana would oppose that declaration as it would set a very precedent indeed. She would not like to make a public statement that could be construed as approval to try to assassinate us without fear of repercussion."

Harrune sighs dramatically. "Hopefully he is wise enough to understand that I chose not to do that, and to leave it in Morgana's hands. She will no doubt feel a need to address this in someway, but I don't believe a bloodbath is her style. She will find a quieter way to deal with it, one that leaves his clan alive."

"He isn't evil, he's just afraid. Fear makes us all behave foolishly."

If Osmund wishes to intercede then Harrune will wait. If not he will start marching the dwarf off to meet Morgana. At the first opportunity he will grab a couple of local guards to escort the dwarf. It would look better if he was marched in my Ht'gon guards rather than at Harrune's swordpoint.
