"Yes, of course. That makes sense." As an added bonus because he didn't actually witness the events himself, the story he recites will be fairly close to Aibne's version and have far less random distractions than usual.

((Backing up a little bit, because I didn't think about this and if I edit it in it'll end up on the previous page where nobody will see it...))

During Aibne's telling of the story, Alys will clarify that Hivers did not demonstrate any access to a "greater power", and that opposing its control or abilities with Pattern or perhaps Trump should prove highly effective. No, she doesn't have the first idea of how to actually do such a thing, but she's confident that it's possible...

Asai will cock her head at Alys' request before rising into a crouch and cradling her hands in front of her. Wisps of light twirl out of nothingness into a spiral, as she mutters what almost sounds like what birdsong might sound like if birds gave slow, droning speeches. The sparks spin together and flicker and a moment later a tiny bird*, looking as if it were made of freshly spun glass, perches on one of her fingers. A moment later it chirrups a faintly chiming sound and takes off in a whir of glittering wings. "I seem to recall there being mutterings of Harrune being busy with meeting-like things and I don't particularly feel like trotting up there just to find out he's unavailable. An hour or two one way or another is not like to change things and the messenger spell will let him know that I wish to speak to him on a matter of some urgency, but not one necessarily requiring he drop everything and come running at once. If by some chance he is thoroughly elsewhere, I will know in not too long and can decide what to do then."

(*Not a raven, if the Raven is still lurking around by this point. Probably either a hummingbird or a swift of some sort, I haven't really decided and it's not really that important.)

"Ugh. Clothes and a bath would be very nice." Aibne grumbles a little, his fur and kilt lightly matted by blood spilt by unseen wounds, the tunic and kilt ragged and shredded slightly. He pokes his head out of the carriage and blinks at the guards, and nods at the two in plate-mail. "Lieutenant Willhiem, Colonel Johan. I'm surprised Morek has you out here. Does this mean he's not hosting the Miner's Guild Meeting today?" Aibne will sigh. "I suppose that makes sense, to some degree, but I'd be worried that Pluto would be having one in his stead." He unfolds himself out of the carriage, stretching a little, considering. He glances at Asai and the Raven, then at the other dwarves. "Um, hmm. Private Bach, if your superiors don't mind, would you please escort Asai and the Raven to the hot springs*, if they would like to go? Since neither of them appear to have much to do for at least an hour, perhaps more, they might enjoy the experience."

-----
*These hot springs are, unlike most, fueled by a spring that runs perpendicular to a lava flow roughly five hundred feet below it about a mile away. By the time the spring bubbles up, it's like taking a (very) hot bath, but the water is clean enough to drink. It's not good to swim in, by any means, but it's a good, nice soak.

Alys has nothing more to say or do here. Then again, she has nothing much to say or do at a hot springs, either, aside from being annoyed about all the water. ...Which doesn't mean that couldn't be an interesting scene, of course, just that she's not going to go out of her way to make it interesting. If people want to scene change to hot springs, that's fine by me; if people want to declare a hot springs montage and skip past it, that's also fine by me.

As per Alys' comment here, she's intending to let Aibne set the agenda for whatever remains of the day before the festivities start up. This is, in fact, the only reason she's willing to go anywhere near a hot spring. Way too much water involved for her tastes. Though she'll have to admit that the temperature isn't terrible...

((Edit: Discussion with the Raven reveals that he's fine with just declaring a montage, on the basis that this "saves him from making a boring post".))
